Both Dr. Duerden and Ms. Keane are experienced environmental professionals with significant expertise in the area of Environmental Management Systems. They are skilled and accomplished trainers and practitioners in the field of environmental management, with over 45 years of collective experience, both as regulators (with Environment Canada) and as private consultants.
Dr. Duerden and Ms. Keane have assisted private sector and public agencies with developing and auditing environmental management systems, and are authors of a practical resource guide for designing and implementing EMSs in the public sector.
They are both Certified Environmental Auditors and EMS Lead Auditors, certified by the Canadian Environmental Certifications Approvals Board (CECAB).

Dr. Duerden has a Bachelor's degree in Science and a Ph.D. in Oceanography from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada. He has considerable national and international expertise in:

Sue Keane, B.Sc.,M. Eng.,CEA,EMS(LA)
Ms. Keane has a Bachelor's degree in Science from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia and a Master's Degree in Engineering from the University of Western Ontario. She has experience in regulatory and technical initiatives at both national and international levels. During her career, Ms. Keane has specialized in:
